FamSpotGetting started
Create a family
Open FamSpot, tap Create My Family and make an account. Give the family a name, then invite people from the Invite button on the Family tab.
Join a family
Ask the family owner for the invite. Tap Join a Family and scan the QR code, or type the code and PIN.
Turn on location
FamSpot asks for location access during setup. For arrival alerts and updates while the app is closed, choose Always in iPhone Settings ▸ FamSpot ▸ Location, and keep Precise Location on.
Map and places
Someone isn’t updating
Check that their phone is online, has FamSpot’s location set to Always, Low Power Mode is off, and sharing isn’t paused in their Settings. Their card shows when they last updated.
Arrival alerts aren’t arriving
Alerts come from the other person’s phone. They need Always location access, and you need notifications on for FamSpot and the alert switched on in Settings ▸ Arrival alerts.
Save a place
Pull up the map sheet, tap + Add next to Places, search for an address, name it and tap Save place.
Check-ins and safety
Send an SOS
On the Check In tab, press and hold SOS for two seconds. With VoiceOver, double-tap and confirm. SOS doesn’t call emergency services.
Cancel an SOS
Tap Cancel SOS. FamSpot sends a Safe check-in so your family knows you’re okay.
Turn the safety log off
Settings ▸ Location & privacy ▸ Safety log.
Account and billing
Restore a purchase
Open the Premium screen from Settings and tap Restore purchases, signed in with the same Apple Account.
Cancel a subscription
iPhone Settings ▸ your name ▸ Subscriptions ▸ FamSpot. You keep Premium until the end of the paid period.
Delete your account
Settings ▸ Delete account. This erases your profile, locations, history and messages.
Forgot your password
On the sign-in screen, enter your email and tap Forgot password? to get a reset link.
